The GTF has been organizing capacity building workshops across tiger range countries to strengthen tiger conservation efforts within the TRC, build capacity of TRCs’ forest officials for developing and implementing national tiger action/management plans, assessment of status of tigers, prey & habitat and tackle the critical issue of the illegal wildlife trade through trans-border cooperation. Capacity building workshops conducted by GTF are:
- Workshop for forest officials of Myanmar held at Wildlife Institute of India, Dedradun, India
- Workshop for forest officials of Malaysia held at the Institute of Biodiversity (IBD), Malaysia
- Workshop for officials from south Asian tiger range countries (Bhutan, Bangladesh India and Nepal) in Sariska, India
- Workshop for officials from several Tiger Range Countries (Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Russia and Vietnam) held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- Consultation workshop on National Tiger Action Plan and Key Priorities for forest officials and representatives of Malaysia, held in Malaysia.
