Football for conservation
In order to spread awareness and carry forward the conservation message among masses, the Seijosa Football Club in the Pakke region (Arunachal Pradesh) has agreed to host their annual football event in the theme of “Wild Cats Football tournament.” The inaugural event for the same is being hosted by the Seijosa Football Club on 4 January 2022.This activity is in sync with the larger objectives of the GEF7 small wild cats project to secure wild cat landscapes.
As an important sport in the landscape, the football tournament can scale up our outreach efforts, while garnering immense local support for the cause among the youth and supporters of the game and respective teams.
