Protection of wildlife habitat is one of the most crucial factors of conservation. To strengthen protection in tiger ranges, GTF has initiated following programme:
Frontline Appraisal: It is survey to find out the professional and personal issues/problems of frontline staff in different types of forest in India. It helps in finding gaps, recommend changes/improvements so as to bring any policy changes that could provide equal opportunity, training facility, equipment etc. to the frontline officers and bring them at par with other enforcement agency in the country.
Security Audit: The protocol has been developed to help Tiger Reserve (TR) managers in regularly tracking the progress of their enforcement efforts to tackle poaching in their sites. It also assess the immediate, near future and future threats along with prioritization of species in their park
