The Global Tiger Forum (GTF), in partnership with the Sikkim Forest Department and the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), has officially launched “TakZo” on 3 December 2025 at Delhi, India.
This initiative is a continuation of the efforts established under the recently concluded project, “Investigating and Addressing Tiger Conservation in Sikkim – the Eastern Himalayas,” which was supported by IUCN-KfW
The initiative aims to promote sustainable livelihood opportunities for local Self-Help Groups (SHGs) through co-branding and marketing of their agro-products, while enabling a share of additional profits to be reinvested in reciprocal conservation actions.
